How are the eyes of the statue punctuated?
Most portrait statues before AD 130 have smooth "blank" eyes. After
130 the flat chisel and the drill were increasingly used to create the perimeter
line of the iris and the pupil. Statues of divinities may or may not adapt
this portrait tendency.
